    Annual Dues renew June of each year.

    Our Mission Is: to create an entrepreneurial incubator for artisans to work cooperatively, to engage in educational opportunities for better understanding marketing and improving their products, partnerships and to work to grow Darrington, Oso, Bennetville and Sauk-Suiattle communities to become a very sought after artisan hub.

     
    Vision Statement:

    Our vision is to have a strong artisan community cooperatively working together and supporting each other. Artisans will strive at their craft improving upon their skills. They'll have the marketing skills and support to give them the confidence needed to exact a profitable price for their products.

     
    By setting this example, new artisans, seeing this dream come true for others, will also pursue their livelihood perfecting and selling their products. As this Arts District grows, our communities will be know as an artisan hub bringing visitors to our area and enhancing our local economies.

     
    Paving the way for local artist, we will encourage and engage youth to explore the arts and have an understanding, that through a business model, their crafted products can be sold creating an income.

    Associate Conduct:

    • All Whitehorse Community Associate Artisan will be respectful of all local artisans and their products.
    • WCA, Whitehorse Community Artisans, is only about their mission and vision to grow this organization. Other subject matter will not be tolerated at WCA meetings, such as politics, slander or gossip which will be considered a disruption and subject to membership suspension.

    Products:

    • The associate artisan’s products are only designed, fabricated and hand crafted by the individual.The associate may not sell other products for other artisans.
    • All work must be suitable for family audiences.

    Qualification of becoming a Whitehorse Community Artisans Associate is based on:

    • Associate must reside within the Whitehorse Community Artisan District. The outlying Oso, Darrington, Bennettville, Sauk-Suiattle, consist of the Fish Hatchery Road west of Oso, Bedal south of Darrington, all of Sauk Prairie, the Suiattle River Road north of Bennettville and the Sauk- Suiattle Reservation. These boundaries are based on the original school districts of these communities.
    • Upon acceptance of association, the new associate will sign the Whitehorse Community Artisans policy and initiate payment the annual dues.
    • Non-artisans are welcome to join the Whitehorse Community Artisan, who support the mission and vision of this organization, wanting to help promote the Whitehorse Community Artisans and grow our area to become an artisan destination.
    • New Artisans Associates will be approved by their artisan product by the Whitehorse Community Artisans membership;
    • Artisan products will be considered by:
    1. Originality of designed
    2. Materials and production techniques
    3. Show a dedication of perfecting their skills and products.

    Associate duties and responsibilities:

    • Keep current of your membership dues.
    • As a member, you are expected to participate in marketing the WCA, as well as your products.
    • Present your products professionally and aesthetically packaged.
    • Whitehorse Community Artisans will be working to market our growing artisan community. Members will be expected to furnish information and photos about their products and to provide personal information to create an artisan biography in a timely fashion when needed.
    • Associates must be open to mentoring to other Whitehorse Community Artisans seeking help and to assist developing skills needed.

    Special Events:

    • All associates must be set up in time for events, with vehicles removed from the vendor sites.
    • Any take-down before the event is not allowed.
    • There will be no pre-sales before opening of the event.
    • Displays must be clean and orderly at all times.
    • All items and trash will be removed from vendor site after take-down
    • All signage must not block other displays or impede pedestrian traffic
    • All display items must fit within the designated vendor space
    • Artisan products displayed at special events will be displayed at the artisan’s own risk. The Whitehorse Community Artisans is not responsible for damage, loss or theft.
