  • These funds are to be used to support integrating sustainability into curriculum to achieve the Sustainability Attribute. In order to apply for an SUST attribute:

    1. Course content must explore four  UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and/or Sustainability Topic Areas*
    2. The course syllabus must contain a SUST Attribute section that includes the following:
      • Identifies four SDGs that are explored in the course content
      • Identifies two learning outcomes that integrate SDG content
        • See an example of an SUST Attribute section here
    3. The two SDGs addressed in course learning outcomes must be directly connected to a significant course assessment
  • *We included four additional sustainability topic areas that we feel were not captured in the SDGs. These are from the University of Utah's Global Change and Sustainability Center (GCSC), a faculty-led initiative to develop multi-college, interdisciplinary research and training related to the environment and sustainability, from local to global scales. The additional topic areas are used by the GCSC to inventory research and scholarship.  More information can be found at: https://www.environment.utah.edu/research/research-themes/
