• Microblading Aftercare

  • Microblading from Lia Lacerda makes the creation of perfect eyebrows possible, but to ensure that you get the naturally beautiful looking brows you want, following the Microblading Aftercare Instructions is essential.

***FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SCARRING, INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.

    FIRST DAY - THIRD DAY:

Use the face visor to take a shower. Keep your eyebrow dry.

    DAYS 3 -10:

Wash the microbladed area twice per day, using mild antibacterial soap, like Cetaphil, to gently cleanse your eyebrows for 10-15 seconds.
Avoid using any cleansing products that contain exfoliants or acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA).
Keep in mind the cleansing shouldn't be a thorough scrub-down, it just needs to be done by rubbing the microbladed area in a soft, smooth manner.
When rinsing, be sure to rinse every trace of soap from the microbladed area.
Dry the entire eyebrow area completely by blotting it with a clean tissue.

    THINGS TO AVOID:

***It's critical to avoid the following for 14 days after your microblading procedure.

Touching the microbladed area without washed hands.
Scratching, picking or peeling the microbladed area, as it can cause scarring and/or color loss.
Applying any makeup, moisturizer, lotion, or sunscreen to your eyebrows.
Sun exposure - sun tanning - salon tanning
Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation.
Exercise - participating in sports and activities that induce perspiration
Long, hot baths or showers - jacuzzis - saunas - swimming
Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid.
Engaging in tasks like heavy household cleaning where airborne debris can become prevalent.
Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, as it can cause wounds to heal slower.
Transportation in open-air-vehicles where strong wind is likely, for example; driving in cars with windows down, convertibles, motorcycles, bicycles, and boats.

Keep your eyebrows dry and clean.

Do not touch the scab in any other case except while cleaning.

For post treatment care, only use recommended products to clean the eyebrows (sterile water for the first day only).

If skin is oily or sweaty make sure to clean it when necessary (witch hazel if needed).

In the first two weeks after the treatment avoid swimming pools, sunbathing, tanning beds (no sun or tanning for 30 days), sauna, beauty treatments, and intense training accompanied by sweating (sport activities), and avoid contact with dirt/dust.

  • Lip Blushing After Care

  • Immediately Following Your Procedure:

Your lips will appear swollen and slightly larger than normal and look as though you may have had a slight lip filler injection and this VARIES from person to person and is absolutely NORMAL. The pigment and lip color will look darker initially, like a bold lipstick. The size of your lips will shrink back to normal as any swelling subsides and the color will significantly fade (40-50%) within the first 5 days. Right after the procedure lips normally feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch - similar to how a sunburn feels. Remember to moisturize and hydrate!

Avoid The Following For 2 Weeks:

    Increased sweating
    Practicing sports
    Swimming
Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
    Sun tanning or salon tanning
Exposure to UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading
Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the treatment area
Touching of the treatment area except for when applying the post-care ointment with a cotton swab
Picking, peeling, or scratching of the treatment area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris
Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycle

    The Complete Healing Process:

DAY 1: Immediately following the procedure your lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. For some, they may appear swollen and bright in color. You may use a cold compress to help with the swelling. For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on lips with a clean paper towel, to remove any lymph. After 4 hours, start applying ointment (Aquaphor) as needed to keep lips constantly moist (VERY IMPORTANT). No kissing, rubbing or friction on the treatment area. Avoid touching your tattooed lips and always wash your hands or use a Q-tip prior to applying Aquaphor.

DAY 2-3: Apply Aquaphor on lips several times a day (q 30-60 minutes). Lips must be  moist at all times to keep them from drying out. Avoid LIP BALMS, LIPSTICKS, or other lip products during this first week! Avoid oily, spicy and heavily seasoned food and drink with a straw for 48 hrs. After every meal gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment.

DAY 3-4: When scabbing starts to appear, do not wipe or pick at them!

DAY 4-7: Between these days, lips will begin and end the process of peeling, and color will lighten by 40-50%.

Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. Continue keeping your lips moist!

WEEK 2: Lips are done peeling, color is light. You may return to normal routines. Lips will continue to heal, up to 6 weeks. Every week more color will surface, it is important to continue keeping lips moist to get the best color at the end of the healing phase. Use sunblock to protect from sun fading!

WEEK 6-8: It is recommended that you come back for a touch up to complete your lip transformation! Others may require more than 2 sessions before we see you in a couple more y

    ears!

  • Saline Pigment Removal

    BOTCHED INK ®
  • It usually takes between 7-10 days for the skin to heal. While the skin is healing these aftercare instructions are recommended. Note that the skin will be extremely scabby while healing and it’s critical that clients do not remove or pick at the scabs.

    CLEAN

    1. Keep the removal area clean, dry and open to the air. Do not cover with anything to ensure a faster healing time. Only touch the area with clean hands.

    2. Dab lightly over the area with saline 3 to 4 times a day using a clean cotton pador gauze. DO NOT USE ICE.

     KEEP THEM DRY

     4. Don't soak the removal area in water. You can shower asnormal but keep the area out of the shower spray the best you can and do not let the area stay wet for more than a few minutes. It is best to keep it dry but if you do get it wet gently pat dry. This includes steam and sweat, so no saunas or steam of any kind, and no sweaty exercise.

    DON’T PICK

     5. All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab

off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep

the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.

    BE PROTECTIVE

     6. Do not do anything to disrupt the healing process.

    ONCE HEALED

     7. Now you can apply some Vitamin E Oil throughout the day for at least 4 weeks, or until the next session. Start this AFTER all scabs have fallen off. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off.

    FOR LIPS

     8. Avoid abrasive items like straws and cup lids while healing. Be mindful of facial expressions so you don’t create cracks in scabs.
