In order to effectively participate in online training at Rhodes Wellness College, students will utilize various software applications such as Zoom, Google Slides/Powerpoint, and Google Docs/Microsoft Word. Additionally, students should be comfortable with downloading files to their computer. By ensuring that you have access to these essential technologies, you will be better equipped to collaborate with peers, complete assignments, and succeed academically. Rhodes Wellness College also utilizes Moodle, a popular Learning Management System (LMS), for distribution of course materials, final exams and submission of assignments. Students will be provided with their login details to Moodle and orientation to this platform at the start of their program during class.
Our classes are taught online via Zoom where you’ll connect with your instructors and peers through video streamed over the internet, and engage in online discussions in your field of study. Be ready with the tech you need.
Participants need to have the following:
A desktop or laptop running Windows 10 or macOS (Version 10.15/Catalina) or better (tablet may be ok; please speak with your admissions representative to determine.)
Webcam, microphone, earbuds or headphones.
While Zoom only requires 1.5Mbps to use, our experience suggests that speeds below 5Mbps are not adequate for two-way interaction. For an optimal experience, speeds of 20Mbps or higher are preferred.
Reliable internet connection
