The Humanities PhD Program at Concordia is highly innovative and interdisciplinary. This also means that the application process has more components and steps than typical PhD programs, e.g., you need to secure support of a three faculty member committee, consisting in a Major Field Adviser (who will be your PhD supervisor) and two Minor Field Advisers. The mebers of your committee will administer comprehensive exams and be involved in your theis proposal and defence, and be involved in the process of your thesis writing and defence. The application to the program also requires submission of a detailed proposal, and other elements as well if you are proposing a research-creation project.
To assist applicants with the application process, we will be holding an online application workshop in fall, date TBA.
If you are interested in attending this work shop, please fill in your contact information below, and tell us a bit about your interest in the program.
