  • Join naturalist Sean Daniels for a guided nature walk at Minnekhada Regional Park, on April 29th from 10:00 am - 11:30 am (end time flexible).

    Sean will help you discover the unique ecology of Minnekhada Regional Park and make observations on iNaturalist, to submit to the City Nature Challenge. This walk is open to all ages, but please note you will be walking between 2-3 km.

    Required:

    • Masks are encouraged but not required for all outdoor events.
    • A device with the iNaturalist app already downloaded. Observations can be uploaded immediately using data, or uploaded later using a WiFi connection.
    • Appropriate clothes and shoes for walking 2-3 km.
    • A sense of curiosity!

    Optional:

    • binoculars
    • magnifying glass or loupe
    • ID guides or apps


    Meeting Location: 

    Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam. Meet in the parking lot just off Quarry Road, at the park sign board.

    The Fraser River Discovery Centre will help you discover the unique ecology of Kanaka Creek Regional Park and make observations on iNaturalist, to submit to the City Nature Challenge. This walk is open to all ages, but please note you will be walking around 3 km on a flat and easy trail.
