  • Join the Fraser River Discovery Centre for a guided nature walk at Tynehead Regional Park, on April 25th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (end time flexible).

    The Fraser River Discovery Centre will help you discover the unique ecology of Tynhead Regional Park and make observations on iNaturalist, to submit to the City Nature Challenge. This walk is open to all ages, but please note you will be walking around 3 km on a mostly flat, easy trail.

    Required:

    • A device with the iNaturalist app already downloaded.
    • Observations can be uploaded immediately using data, or uploaded later using a WiFi connection.
    • Appropriate clothes and shoes for walking 3 km.
    • A sense of curiosity!

    Optional:

    • Binoculars.
    • Magnifying glass or loupe.
    • ID guides or apps.
    • Masks are encouraged but not required for all outdoor events.
       

    Meeting Location:

    Tynehead Regional Park in Surrey. Meeting location is at the Serpentine Hollow parking lot.
