About us
Why the Taste of Tahiti?
The Taste of Tahiti team has a special bond with the Temecula Valley. Beginning in 2014 when a group from the Tahitian island of Huahine came to Temecula and was graciously welcomed by city leaders. The Huahine group performed an inspiring exhibition of Tahitian music, dance, and culture inside City Hall. City leaders were moved and initiated an official “Sister City” relationship with the people of Huahine.
This event sparked the vision to cultivate the relationship with the people of the Temecula Valley area by organizing a series of immersive engagements with the people and culture of Tahiti. The Taste of Tahiti organization was formed to make this vision a reality and has grown to include an extensive team of participants and sponsors both in the US and in the Islands.

Non-profit Status
Taste of Tahiti is a non-profit organization and is committed to offsetting the expenses involved with making these events possible. As a labor of love, the team from Tahiti travel to the US at their own expense and work tirelessly while they are here. Taste of Tahiti fundraising is channeled back to the performers to offset as much of their expenses as we can.
