    The Placer County Association of REALTORS® encourages member participation and welcomes your input and expertise through various committees. Committees are an integral part of our Association. Their purposes include: supplementing the work of the board and staff; engaging members; and developing leaders. If you have the time, talent and inclination to contribute to any of the following Committees, take a moment to read through the committees and their descriptions to see where your expertise and talent would be a good fit. Terms range from 1 to 3 years and typically require a minimal time commitment for maximum professional reward. Check the boxes below the committees you are interested in, fill out your contact information including your background information and then click "submit." Committees are listed in Alphabetical order.
  • Affiliate Committee: To foster a beneficial and valuable membership for new and existing PCAR Affiliate Members which supports membership engagement, promotes relevant industry knowledge, collaborates with other PCAR Committees for the betterment of the PCAR member experience, and produces events in support of the PCAR Foundation for the good of the local community.

  • Ambassador Committee: Mission-To enable members to maximize the value of membership and to improve participation and growth through the communication of benefits, identification of engagement opportunities within the Association, promotion of new relationships and to facilitate member feedback to the staff and Board of Directors.

  • Communications Committee: Mission-To establish a foundation that will ensure constant, consistent up -to-date communication to the members and public via social media and other outlets and to bring public awareness to the true meaning of a REALTOR, their value, professionalism, expertise and community involvement.

  • Education Committee: Mission-to seek out, research, and inform the membership of the Placer County Association of REALTORS® in areas of continuing our education, renewing our licenses and furthering our education and training. By so doing, provide better service to our clients and customers.

  • *Finance Committee: Mission-To monitor the financial status of PCAR on a monthly basis and provide input to the proposed annual budget, allowing for solid and quality fiscal decisions. To maintain adequate reserves and report to the Board of Directors to ensure the financial viability of PCAR.

    *Prerequisite: Potential candidate should be a member of PCAR for 2+ years and be in good standing with PCAR, CAR and NAR. Board of Directors approval required.

  • *Grievance Committee: Grievance serves as a screening committee of complaints regarding ethics violations against members of the PCAR. In addition, this committee works with the Professional Standards Committee to educate the membership on the Code of Ethics.

    *Prerequisite: Prospective members shall have worked at least 5 years as a full-time real estate licensee (CA or other state), and have been a REALTOR member of PCAR for a minimum of 2 years.

  • *Local Candidate Recommendation (LCRC) LCRC manages funds and makes recommendations on contributions to candidates for local offices. These recommendations cover supervisory seats, city council seats and seats on special districts such as the Placer County Water Agency.

    *(Potential candidates are highly encouraged to contribute to RAF at the "True cost of doing business/$148" each year. Candidates must be nominated by the LCRC Nominating committee each December and shall be approved by the Board of Directors each January.

  • *Local Government Relations Committee (LGR) LGR's mission is to advocate in support of the real estate industry and private property rights. Monitor local government agendas. Review background materials in order to provide an informed representation of the Association. Actively participate in meetings and/or submit written comments on issues that may affect the real estate industry and private property rights. Keep members informed and rally them as needed.

  • Marketing Meetings: PCAR has 2 Marketing Meeting Committees which represent different areas (Rocklin and Auburn.) Their mission is to support PCAR members through teamwork, networking, camaraderie and education to build a successful Association and a support system for our members. Both meetings provide a venue to pitch listings as well as schedule guest speakers.

  • *Masters Club Committee: Mission- To celebrate and recognize the current year’s Masters Club members; to provide networking and career growth opportunities; and to educate all PCAR members on the value of striving to qualify and become a Masters Club Member.

    *Prerequisite (Must be at least a 3 year/current Masters Club member and be in good standing with PCAR, CAR and NAR.)

  • PCAR Foundation Fundraising Committee: Mission-to raise funds to provide: 1)charitable support to local Placer County 501c3 charities that provide food, clothing, shelter and/or mental health services; and 2)educational scholarships for Placer County students. This committee is responsible for the annual crab feed.

  • *Professional Standards serves on hearing panels as required to hear matters of alleged membership duty and ethical misconduct by Association members that may result in discipline. In addition this committee works with the Grievance committee to educate the membership on the Code of Ethics.

     *Prerequisite: Prospective members shall have served a minimum of 3 years on the Grievance Committee of this or another REALTOR Association Organization. Board of Directors approval is required.

  • REALTOR Party Committee Mission: to educate and create awareness of REALTOR® Action Dues through contests, media, e-update, etc. This committee also clarifies to the membership the relationship between real estate livelihood and Political Survival Dues.

  • Young Professionals Network (YPN): Mission-To elevate young professionals with a community of like-minded peers, provide a pathway to giving back; both to our community and Association, and to develop emerging leaders in our industry.
