  • To be eligible for election to CFIC Council, you must be a member in good standing of CFIC, as of March 1 of this year. (To confirm you membership status, please contact Membership@centreforinquiry.ca. You can join, or renew your membership online at http://centreforinquiry.ca/membership/.)

CFIC has a separate membership category for the Council. As voting members, Councillors pay a $ 90 annual membership fee (or $100 family membership), which is eligible for a charitable tax receipt. An earned membership, requiring at least 6 hours per month of volunteer work, is an option for people for whom the fee would pose a significant financial hardship.

  • If you are elected, do you commit to paying the council membership fee (this will be invoiced shortly after the AGM)?
  • Council members are the voting members of CFIC. As such, it is important that they attend the Annual General meeting, held electronically in March each year, and other meetings that are called from time to time which require input from our voting members.

  • Do you agree to prioritize attendance at these meetings?
  • From time to time, CFIC consults with and/or asks for volunteer assitance with specific roles. CFIC Council Members are expected to become involved with CFIC and show their support by participating in meetings, carrying out occasional organizational roles, responding to surveys etc.

  • Will you commit to at least 20 hours of involvement with CFIC over the next year?
  • Should be Empty:
