July 19-21, 2024 | OPM and Great Lakes Academy of Fine Art (GLAFA) have teamed up again to coordinate a weekend of paint-outs in Duluth with a plein air workshop and Artist Reception & Painting Sale at GLAFA on Sunday. Sign up to participate.
Friday, July 19

4:00-10:00pm Evening artist social and nocturnal paint-out around Canal Park. Meet at Canal Park Brewing Company for appetizers/dinner and beverages before heading out to paint.

Saturday, July 20

10:00am – 5:00pm Paint-Out at Lake Superior Railroad Museum. Check in at front desk to receive free admission and ID badge. Paintings may be exhibited at museum through August. Details will be sent to registered artists.

6:00pm Dinner at Blackwoods Restaurant on the corner of London Rd at the end of I-35.

8:00pm Artist social at Matt Kania's house (walking distance from Blackwoods).

Sunday, July 21

9a-12p A morning Member Workshop at GLAFA, 810 W. 3rd St, Duluth MN 55806. Participation is free for OPM members, $25 for nonmembers. A separate sign-up form is published on OPM's web site.

12-1 Picnic BYO/takeout lunch from nearby Lincoln Park

1-4 Afternoon paint-out at or near GLAFA. The neighborhood offers dramatic views and interesting architectural elements.

5:00-7:00pm Artist Reception & Painting Sale at GLAFA, within paintings displayed on their studio easels. Painting sales handled by GLAFA @30% commission.
