ARService Scholarship Application 2022

The ARServices Scholarships were established to provide financial assistance to qualified seniors who are members of Project Discovery of Alexandria (PDA) who have shown academic and community leadership.

Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Two (2) $4000.00 scholarships

Awards Ceremony

Recipients of this award are expected to attend the Virtual Awards Ceremony on May 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM. The Keynote Speaker for the event is Mr. Jay McCargo, President and CEO of ARServices.

Evaluation Criteria

The criteria below will be used to evaluate applicants:
- Ability to Follow Directions
- Involvement in Project Discovery of Alexandria
- Education Background/Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Honors & Awards
- Community Service and/or Employment History
- Photograph Submission (Head Shot View)

Essay Topic: Why ARServices Should Award A Scholarship to You.

GUIDELINES FOR FORMATTING THE ESSAY

Follow the guidelines below as you complete your essay(s):

· Cover Page: Begin the paper by centering on the front page of your essay, the title of the paper, your name, and the date.

· Title: Your essay should include a title. The title should be centered and should appear under the heading information on the first page and above the first line of your essay. The title should be In the same fonts as the rest of your essay, with no quotation marks, no underlining, no italics, and no bold.

· Fonts: Your essay should be word processed in 12-point Times New Roman Fonts

· Spacing: Double space the entire essay There should not be extra spaces between paragraphs.

Margins:

First Page:

· Leave a two-inch margin (or 13 returns) for the top margin to begin typing the title of the paper.

Second & Succeeding Pages:

· Leave a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, left, and right margins.

Page Numbers: The page number should appear centered at the bottom of the page.

· Exclude the page number on the cover page.

Indentation: The first line of each paragraph should be indented. This indentation should be 1/2 inch or five spaces, but pressing [Tab] once should give you the correcting indentation.

Alignment: Align Left. The text of the essay should be lined up evenly at the left margin but not at the right margin. In your word processor, choose "Align Left." Do not choose "Justify."
