Student Government Board is currently seeking dedicated students to serve on the Allocations Committee for the 2022-2023 term. The Allocations Committee is comprised of a chairperson and 12 liaisons, whose role it is to assist student groups in their utilization of the Allocations Process. Through this process, the Allocations Committee distributes a portion of the Student Activities Fund to registered student organizations.

Expectations

Allocations Committee Members are held to a high standard regarding weekly attendance for both Allocations Meetings and Office Hours. Allocations Meetings are conducted every Thursday starting at 8:30pm. You must be available at that time to be eligible to apply. A total of three unexcused absences from these meetings are permitted for the entirety of an Allocations Committee Member's full year term.

A total of five office hours must also be held each week as set by the Allocations Committee Member at the beginning of each term.

Budgets are another time that has mandatory attendance. Attendance at budgets is separate from the three unexcused weekly meeting absences. Spring budgets are typically conducted in March or April, and are conducted over the course of three days, Thursday through Saturday. Fall budgets are typically conducted in October or November and take place over the course of one day during the weekend.

It is expected that you will be able to attend these meetings each week and give priority to the Allocations Committee over your involvement in other organizations. This includes things that have other mandatory meetings such as Pathfinders, Resident Assistants, Greek Life, etc.
