The National Coalition of 100 Black Oakland/Bay Area Chapter (NCBW/OBAC) is accepting applications from female students currently enrolled in a Bay Area high school who are bound for a four-year university, community college or trade school. The program also accepts applications from undergraduate and graduate students who attended high school in the Bay Area.
NCBW/OBAC is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women and the Black community in general. The Oakland/Bay Area Chapter accomplishes its educational mission through education programs for girls and women and through scholarships.

1. Your completed Application.
2. Completed and attached required Essays based on the guidelines outlined.3. Former Positive Steppers who are continuting college students are required to complete three essay questions - A, B, and C.
4. An official copy of your high school or college(s) with original registrar’s stamp, showing credit hours for each course, grade, and date of completion. 5. Two recent signed letters of recommendation, from teachers, counselors, principals, community or civic leaders, or religous leader on their letterhead.
6. Copy of your recent FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and sources for financial aid.
Your Application must be received in it's entirety by NCBW
