Welcome to the The Dorothy Lee Grier Memorial Scholarship. Established by the children of longtime resident, Dorothy Lee Grier: Kyle Grier, John Grier iIII, Erica Grier-Anderson, Gezelle Grier-Myers, and Christopher Grier Sr. The scholarship is designed to assist current and former Baldwin Community Schools students, or those who live in the district, in furthering their musical skills. Mrs. Grier’s talented and rich musical history of playing piano and violin resulted in promoting her own children’s musical careers. She taught many local youth and adults how to play the piano and violin over a period of 40 years. To honor her great legacy in the community, the annual D.L.G. Scholarship Fund will help promote and assist students through music lessons for an 8-week period.
