    How to Enter
    Each class will need to create an eco-friendly poster to promote the best ways to protect our water, and our planet, as a class, in the Groups below.

    School Entries:
    Entries are open those classes in the appropriate school year and Group detailed below. Entries must be submitted by the school of the entrant. We cannot accept submissions directly by anyone under 18 and they will not be considered or form part of the competition.

    Entrants will be categorised into the following three groups.

    • Group 1 for children in Reception, year 1 and 2.
    • Group 2 for children in year 3 and 4.
    • Group 3 for children in year 5 and 6.

    To make a class entry schools must upload a digital file of the class’s work and provide the following information with their class entry:

    (i) the name of the school entering,

    (ii) teacher or head teacher’s email address,

    (iii) the class name (for example “Reception Yellow”) and the applicable Group


    Individual Child Entries

    How to Enter: Each child will need to create an eco-friendly poster to promote the best ways to protect our water, and our planet, and their parent or guardian will need to upload their work and provide the following information:

    (i) Your child’s first name only (not their full name) and your child’s category Group – so whether they are Group 1, 2 or 3;

    (ii) Parents or Guardian’s email to contact you in the event your child is a winner.

    Entries for individual children must be submitted by a parent or guardian who is able to give permission for the child to enter the competition. We cannot accept entries without the permission of a child’s parent or guardian.

    • By entering the piece of work, you are confirming that the entry is an original piece of work created by your child and does not infringe upon the IP rights of others.
    • The personal information provided by you about you and your child is used for processing competition entries, and for notifying Winners. All email addresses and email correspondence are deleted at the end of the competition.

    If any of the winners fail to confirm acceptance of the prize within 7 days or if the winner chooses to forfeit the prize, Reach reserves the right to select another winner or runner up.

    By entering your poster, including on behalf of someone aged under 18, you are consenting to the following:

    - Reach has the right to use (or not use) the work on its websites and across its social media for the year group of the class category.

    - Reach has the right to edit (without seeking further approvals from you) your poster to fit the requirements of its websites and social media.

    Dates

    The competition will open on Wednesday, February 16 and close midnight of Friday, May 13, 2022. Entries received after this date will not be considered.

    The Prizes

    • School Class winners will receive a £300 Voucher or equivalent
    • Individual winners will receive a £50 Craft Voucher

    The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for other prizes.

    Judging

    Our Competition Sponsors, Wessex Water will form part of the judging panel for entries and we will need to share your competition entry with them for the purposes of judging the competition.

    Recognition

    The winners and runner ups may be included in publicity material and by entering into this competition, they agree to their first name, age group, competition entry and name of their school being used for publicity purposes in relation to this competition by Reach.

    Privacy and Rules

    The competition is run in accordance with those the principles as set out in Reach’s privacy policy as well as Reach’s standard competition terms and conditions, see https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/rules/ which form part of this competition.

    Reach will not require you to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the competition and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and request deletion of your child’s personal data where this has been collected.

    When entering the competition, there will be an option to opt in to receive further communications from Wessex Water and also about competitions, prize draws and promotions from Somerset Live.

    These opt in boxes are provided for those over 18 only. For those who do not opt in, your personal data will be used solely for administration of this competition.

    Reach plc reserves the right at any time, and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). This includes extending the closing date of the Reach plc prize draw up to 1 week. The decision of Reach plc in all matters under its control is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

    No employee of Reach or Wessex Water may enter this competition.
