Please note: Tuition Assistance is based on your total family income. All applicants are required to provide a copy of the previous year’s tax return(s) for each family member who contributes to the household income and lives in the home with the child. If you have a financially contributing parent who lives in a different home from another financially contributing parent (for example, an ex-partner who pays child support) they do not need to submit a tax return, but their monthly contributions should be noted under “Income Information” below. If you have a referral from a social services agency, you do not need to submit tax information.

Volunteer Hours Trade Program At Creator’s Arts Centre we value and need the involvement and contribution of our dancers and their families. “Community” is one of the core values of CAC and we desire to build this into all our programs. In the Tuition Assistance Program, we achieve this goal by creating volunteer opportunities in several key areas for participating families. Regularly scheduled volunteer shifts are required by all families receiving Tuition Assistance. The maximum number of classes per child under our tuition/volunteer trading program is 2 per week which would require a 2hour per week volunteer commitment. If your dancer is ill and not attending class, volunteers are still required to attend their weekly shifts. If you do not complete all your volunteer hours, you will be charged $15/hr for the incompleted hours. Please indicate your top two choices of the following volunteer tasks. Indication of interest does not guarantee placement.

Weekly Janitorial; Cleaning the Studio (1-2hr per week)(must be available before 9am or after 9pm to clean while students are not here)Office Shifts/Administration (2hrs per week) **Priority will be given to applicants who are already I this role with at CAC or in place of employment. Must be willing to provide a Criminal record check. Volunteer's children will not be permitted in the office or unsupervised in the lobby during assigned shift.Facility Maintenance/Renovations (must be available weekends)Admin Runner (pick up and drop off for studio. Must have own car)
Please note that applications will be approved based on financial need. Families whose annual income falls on or below the poverty line will be given first priority.
