1. The Association reserves the right to accept or reject a membership application without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
2. The Association is not obliged to respond to any request from an unsuccessful applicant.
3. Fees paid for successful applications are non-refundable and non-cancellable.
4. New membership fees must be paid before the membership takes effect.
5. Renewal fees must be paid within 3 months from membership expiry, or it will be taken as a new membership, where full amount will be charged. Renewed membership will continue from the day of the last expiry, regardless of renewal date, as long as the payment’s made within the 3 months’ grace period. The old card must be surrendered in exchange for the new card.
6. Upon termination or cancellation, no fee is refundable (on pro-rata basis).
7. A replacement fee of $10 +GST is chargeable for lost or damaged of membership card, Locker Key.
8. A replacement fee of $15 +GST is chargeable for lost or damaged of gym, swimming pool / shower room access card.
9. Members must carry their membership cards at all times and the cards must be presented upon request by any YMCA staff, for verification purposes.
10. No member is allowed to use YMCA facilities / premises to provide private coaching / training / classes of any sort.
11. No member is to stay in the premise beyond 10.30pm.
12. Ordinary / Youth (Term) Members are only allowed to sign in a maximum of 3 guests per day at a fee of $2.16 per guest if the guest were to use the facilities. All members’ guests must be accompanied by the members, in order to access the facilities. Sign-ins and payments can be done at Front Desk, Level 1, YMCA of Singapore.
13. Members and their guests are responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered at the Association’s premises or during the Association’s programmes, unless excluded by law.
14. The Association reserves the right to revoke membership, refuse entry or ask any member to leave YMCA premises for:
· Failure to pay membership and/or course fees
· Violating the rules and regulations of the Association
· Damaging the property of the Association
· Causing disturbance to other members
· Gambling, smoking and / or consuming alcoholic beverages within the premises of the Association
· Exhibiting any other behavior deemed unbecoming of a member
15. The members shall adhere to the above terms and conditions as stipulated, and comply with the directions of the Association.
16. In the event of membership disruption due to YMCA building renovation, the membership card has to be returned in exchange for the pro-rated refund of subscription fee. Entrance fee is not refundable.
17. The Association reserves the right to add, amend, waive, cancel and/or suspend any of the terms and conditions without prior notice.
