This scholarship is awarded subject to the conditions included herein. Please review this document very carefully. Please complete and submit this form, include a jpeg headshot photograph as an attachment as directed below by April 15, 2022, or the scholarship may be rescinded.

Payment of Award - Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the recipient's mailing address at the address indicated above. The scholarship check is made payable to the college/university you listed above and you must deliever the check to your college/university. DO NOT DEPOSIT INTO YOUR OWN ACCOUNT. Scholarship Awards are one-year awards and paid in two installments, one for the 2022 Fall Semester and one for the 2023 Spring Semester, provided the recipient continues to meet the conditions described herein.
1. Payment Distribution Schedule
  1. Fall Semester (first portion) mailed on or about July 20.
  2. Spring Semester (second portion) mailed on or about December
2. Check Award Memo
  1. Included on your check is an award memo to your institution. Do not detach this memo from your check. The school should receive the entire check including the memo.
3. Funds Disbursement
  1. The funds for scholarship are applied to your educational expenses in the following order:
    1. Tuition and fees
    2. Room and board
    3. Books and supplies
    4. Any excess funds should be given to the student per the institution's scholarship policy.
      1. If funds are issued directly to the student, the IRS may consider some portion of this scholarship taxable and a 1099 would be issued by your institution.
Year and Attendance Requirement - To recieve these scholarship monies the following conditions must be met:
1. This scholarship must be used during the 2022-2023 academic year.
2. You must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university in the United States.
3. If you fail or cease to meet these conditions, no further scholarship funds will be forthcoming and any scholarship checks that have been issued but not deposited must be returned to TGEF. Funds that have been deposited by the schools will be refunded to the foundation directly from the institution.
Reporting of Scholarship Award - Receipients are obligated to report the scholarship to the college's financial aid office.
1. A College Award Memo will be sent to you by the end of April.
2. You must print and deliever a copy of this memo to your school's financial aid office.
Transfers - While there are some restrictions, transfers to a college or university that you list above are often allowed.
1. You must notify TGEF in writing by email to scholarships@tngrocer.org before the scholarship checks are issued if you change institutions.
Recipient Contact Information - You are required to keep TGEF informed of your correct contact information.
1. You must notify TGEF if you change your mailing address, phone number or e-maill address for both home and at school.
2. Scholarship checks issued by TGEF are not forwarded by the postal service; they are returned to the TGEF office.
3. If mail is returned, your scholarship may be terminated.
Authorizations
1. Recipients give TGEF permission to use their name, likeness and or high school/college history in any of its publications or presentations.
2. Photo - attached a high-resolution jpeg headshot photograph as indicated below.
