    New Member Application (2025-2026)
  • Note Before Applying:

    In order to be considered for NHS, you must be an upcoming junior or senior and have a 3.5 or better GPA, (non-weighted, cumulative from 9th grade to the present). If selected, you must maintain this GPA and complete at least 15 hours of community service each school year. Before applying, please have your transcript AND a letter of recommendation ready to upload. You can request your transcript by going to the Roland Public Schools website. Submissions without a transcript and LOR will not be considered.

  • Extracurricular School Activities

    List all activities in which you have participated during high school. Include clubs, organizations, athletics, etc. (Ex: RHS Band--9th--11th grade)
  • Leadership Positions

    List all elected or appointed leadership positions held in your school, community, or work activities. ONLY positions in which you were directly responsible for directing or motivating others should be included. (EX: Student Council--Sophomore Representative)
  • Community Service

    List volunteer service activities in which you have participated and no compensation has been given. These can be projects done with a group either in or out of school. Please include the name of an adult supervisor who can verify your participation in each activity. If that sponsor is not a school employee, please provide a contact phone number or email address. (EX: Life Church FS--helped paint houses with Habit for Humanity; Adam Smith 972-782-0000)

    1. Be sure you have a letter of recommendation ready to upload. (This letter should come from someone other than friends or family members.) 2. Be sure you meet the minimum GPA requirement. 3. Understand that submitting this application does NOT automatically ensure your acceptance into National Honor Society.
