Join Kristin Fox, APRN from St. Joseph Hospital Palliative Care at Jajabelle's Coffee and Bakeshop in Nashua, NH on Wednesday, April 27th from 6:00pm - 7:00pm for our 3rd Monthly St. Joe's Social Hour!
Often times in the hospital we encounter families that haven’t had important conversations and we meet them in times of a health care crisis. This could be anything from a parent exhibiting challenging mental health behaviors or signs of dementia to someone with a terminal illness or unexpected life-threatening injury.
During this presentation, Kristin will be discussing:
- The importance of having Advanced Directives including a Health Care Proxy and Living Will.
- POLST (Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment.)
- DNR (Do Not Resuscitate)
Additionally, one of the big questions we'll look to answer is:
- My parents can't take care of themselves any longer (and neither can I). Where can they go and how would they be able to finance that?
This is sure to be a packed crowd, but we have only 25 seats available - so register early to ensure you have a seat!
Attendees will also receive complimentary appetizers and a drink ticket.
