Please send an email to softpawsrescue@gmail.com once this is submitted-- I try to check these frequently but I am not immediately notified when they come in. We look forward to reviewing your application. Please include pictures of the inside of your home, backyard, and drivers license. To determine the best placement, we consider the needs of the dogs first and foremost. Sometimes willing and able adopters are not the best fit for a particular dog, which isn't a reflection on the adopter-- it is about the pet's needs. So, if you are not selected to adopt a particular pet, please do not take it personally. We ask that you do not get attached to a dog after submitting an application for them. We get several applications per dog. We often get multiple applications for the same dog. So, if you do not hear back from us immediately, please do not fret. We are a two-person team who work full time in addition to running Soft Paws full time. So, we ask for patience and politeness. We are humans, not robots, not a giant conglomerate. We are not a service, and you cannot just purchase a dog. We treat all dogs in our care as lifelong family members and are looking for adopters who feel and do the same. Our adoption fees range from $400 to $700 per dog and are based on several factors: medical expenses, food, toys, treats, transportation for the dogs, length of stay with Soft Paws Rescue, and more. All fees are applied to the charitable purposes of rescuing, caring for and placing dogs. If you adopt 2 dogs it is still 2 adoption fees. Unfortunately, as a small foster based rescue, we do not receive massive donations or government funding. Our adoption fees are what keep us operating. Our animals have been seen by our veterinarian. Although we never knowingly adopt out an animal with any serious health or medical problems, it is impossible to absolutely guarantee the health of this animal. Additionally, we cannot predict or guarantee the temperament of any animal with certainty. The actions of animals and their disposition toward people are frequently unpredictable. Therefore, we strongly recommend you establish care with your own veterinarian shortly after adoption. Soft Paws Rescue is not liable for any expense that you may incur, subsequent to the adoption. Soft Paws Rescue makes no representation regarding the behavior, temperament or health of the animal you are adopting. Email us if you are concerned or have any problems and we will be happy to give you advice or a referral. Soft Paws Rescue is not liable for any injuries or damages caused by any animal you adopt from us. Should you for any reason become unable to keep an animal adopted from Soft Paws Rescue, the animal must come back into foster care for re-adoption to a new home. We cannot guarantee a immediately available foster home. It is a MUST that we are contacted If the animal must be given up for any reason, dogs must come back to Soft Paws Rescue or we must approve a new home!
