This American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Course provides the foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest by promptly recognizing several life-threatening emergencies, giving high-quality CPR, delivering appropriate ventilations, and providing early use of an AED. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, focusing on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. Students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations in this instructor-led course. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students must participate in and pass the written and skills testing portion of the course to obtain a certification. Student workbooks are included in the enrollment price; no further purchase is necessary.
