Congratulations! Based on your successful completion of our interview process, we are pleased to invite you to our Pre-Hire Training program.
We will build your knowledge, skills, and abilities during your training. As a result, you will gain a thorough understanding of the client development process in addition to establishing numerous business development habits that will serve you well throughout your career.
To assist you in this development process, members of our Management Team will provide the following support:
- Classroom training, role-playing sessions, and other skill-building opportunities.
- Hold Joint Field Work appointments.
- Daily/weekly supervision, individual coaching, and timely feedback regarding your progress and developmental needs.
- A detailed analysis of the FR contract with the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, including a full benefits package.
- An introduction to the Park Avenue Securities Platform and all the benefits of working with your clients on their investment planning.
Agency Expectations
We have the following expectations of all Financial Representatives:
- Activity is the basis for building a successful career. We expect all our Financial Representatives to focus on achieving success through productive activity and commission production. You will be expected to achieve specific activity levels with regards to phoning, appointments, and gathering of qualified introductions.
- Contribute to the growth of the agency by introducing us to at least three prospective Financial Representatives. Introductions can qualify you for the Talent Introduction Program and the opportunity to earn up to a $10,000 bonus from Guardian Home Office and Alliance Financial Group.
- Purchase and keep in force your own Guardian insurance policy as owning and believing in what you sell to your clients is imperative to be a successful Financial Representative.
- Attendance at all scheduled training classes and supervisory meetings and complete assigned training programs.
- Establishment of a Business Plan and Model Week.
- Completion of all activity reporting using the One Card System and logging all your activity numbers into the AFG Portal.
- Maintain The Living Balance Sheet® subscription and establish LBS websites for all clients. We will expect your subscripton to LBS to begin no later than 60 days after your appointment as an FR. You may subscribe earlier to help grow your business at a faster pace.
- Devote at least one hour per day to study and/or sales skill practice. Participate in industry-sponsored Continuing Education programs as recommended.
- Obtain FINRA Licenses (SIE, Series 7 and 66) and become PAS Registered within 9 months on contract.
- Alliance Financial Group has an excellent reputation for integrity, quality service, and professionalism. Each Financial Representative is expected to conduct his or her business in such a manner as to reinforce and protect our agency’s reputation.
- All Marketing, networking, prospecting, selling, and servicing activities will be conducted according to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct by operating in complete compliance of the AFG, Guardian, industry, and regulatory standards. It is your responsibility to understand and be in full compliance with these standards.
- All Financial Representatives and staff are expected to wear appropriate business attire during office hours Monday through Friday.
Production Expectations and Standards
To ensure your likelihood of success, you will be required to meet several activity and production standards. These standards of performance are as follows:
Your key to success as an FR with Alliance Financial Group is consistency in your activity. The expectation is that you will grow your practice to ensure long-term success. Based on the research of Guardian FRs, the minimum levels of production that increase the likelihood of long-term success are:
- To be appointed as an FR you must apply for a minimum of $6000 in premium on a minimum of 6 lives in individual life and disability insurance with Guardian. No more than $2000 of this premium can be applied for by yourself or immediate family members.
Once you are appointed as an FR:
- First 90 days minimum goal; Attain Client Builder Award: $15,000 in paid premiums and 5 lives
- First-year minimum; Attain Client Builder Award Tier 1: $50,000 in paid premium and 20 lives
- Second-year minimum; Attain Client Builder Award Tier 2: $65,000 in paid premium and 20 lives
To put you on track for achieving Leaders Club, the production levels are the following:
- First 90 days; Attain Client Builder Diamond Award: $18,000 in paid premium and 8 lives
- First Year goal; $100,000 in paid premium and 21 lives
- Second-year goal; $115,000 in paid premium and 21 lives
Failure to exceed MPR production standards on an annual basis may result in the termination of your FR Contract.
