Linda H. Woodley Scholarship Application (2024)
The Linda H. Woodley Service Scholarship is established in memory of Ms. Woodley to encourage young people who have demonstrated a lifestyle commitment to volunteerism. The scholarship endowment is funded by gifts from the Woodley family, colleagues, and organizations from around the Commonwealth. Selection criteria include significant volunteer service, strength of student-submitted essay, academics, and financial need. DO NOT encourage all of your students to submit applications. Applications will not be accepted if submitted directly from the student. Instead, it is recommended that the access group identify two or three students that best meet the scholarship criteria and then work specifically with those students to submit applications on their behalf.
Important Notes:
The application must be completed in one sitting. The application does not allow for you to save it in a draft format. The following documents will be uploaded directly to the application: (1) a student essay of 600 words or less written by the student, (2) a copy of the student’s entire FAFSA Submission Summary - if available at time of submission - or Master Regent Access PDF from VASA Application with SAI included, (3) an official copy of the student’s high school transcript with the GPA included, and (4) 300 word or less community service statement written by nominating organization.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 10, 2024
