Terumah: Gifts from the Heart

For the 2023-24 year, our Board recommends a rate of $1,000 per adult annual pledge, the same rate as 2022-23. Still, we ask that you contribute more than this requested amount if you have the means, as we would require a pledge of $1500 per person to fully cover our proposed costs.

We recognize that income levels and relationships with money vary greatly within our community, and that contributing this amount may not be feasible for you. We do not discriminate based on pledge contributions -- you are not a second-class member for pledging lower than this amount! -- nor do we rescind membership status if you end up contributing less than your expressed pledge.

That said: It is vital for us to collect funds to ensure the sustainability of our community and fair compensation for our employees. Please consider our ask for a $1000 per adult pledge, and contribute an amount that is attainable for you. Every bit helps!

Co-Creating our Community

Member participation is essential for maintaining the creativity and sustainability of our community. This year, we are asking all members to pick (at least) one work area to plug in to, and to bring kiddush at least once.
Chesed: Coordinating care and mutual aid for congregantsKehillah: Social initiatives/programs to build and sustain member connectionsLimmud: Building empowering Jewish learning, study groups, and educational programmingAvodah: Service planning/leading, songleading, and ritual workShefa: Cultivating resources/strategizing for financial sustainabilityTzedek: Pursuing justice within our congregation & as a congregation
Please select at least one date to bring kiddush, the light repast/snack we have following services.

For us, kiddush consists of bringing:
- two challahs,
- a bottle of wine or grape juice
- something sweet (cookies/fruit/etc.)
- something savory (cut veggies and dip, cheese and crackers, etc.)
This should be just a snack, not a whole meal's worth of food. You may wish to choose dates that are significant to you, like a loved one's birthday or yahrzeit.

Note: We will send you reminders as your date or dates approach, and can provide further guidance as desired. :)
