Transfers to Manta Island Resort are available via a scheduled boat departing from the local dock in Dangriga, typically between 3:30PM and 4:30PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays only. You should plan to arrive in Belize no later than 1:00PM in order to clear customs and make the connecting flight at 2:40PM to Dangriga. The check-out boat leaves the island at 6:45AM, as such we recommend booking an international flight that leaves Belize around 12PM to allow sufficient travel time to the airport. Coco Plum Diving, Snorkeling, Diving Certification — These marine tours can be difficult to arrange due to the minimum person requirement as well as the skill level of each diver. The Belize Blue Hole Dive requires an advanced open water certification (must be able to dive a depth of at least 130 feet). For those dives that require advanced certification, you must show dive log of recent dives. You might be prompted to do a refresher dive during which the dive master will monitor your abilities and how your body reacts while diving in deeper water. He/she will then determine if you are able to dive. For each of the dives listed below, divers must provide their current dive cards, please attach below. Failure to present this beforehand might hinder your participation in these dives.

We highly recommend bringing Deet-based Repellent, Hydrocortisone cream and Benadryl tablets, particularly if you are sensitive to insect bites. We attempt to curtail the sand fly activity at the resort, but during times of low wind, they can be problematic. We also advise the use of bug spray during inland tours. Additionally, seaweed can be an issue along our beaches during certain times of the year. There is no way to predict when it will wash ashore in larger quantities or how long it will last as it has to do with the tides. We do maintain our beach daily by raking excess deposits on the shore and moving it away from the beach. Though seaweed may not seem ideal, it is perfect for our ecosystem since it serves as a home to an amazing variety of marine species.

Belizean Dreams rates already include a 8.5% service charge which is distributed equally among all our staff as we believe everyone plays an important role in your stay with us. Should you wish to leave an additional gratuity for exceptional service, this is completely left to your discretion. There is nothing too small or big and anything is appreciated. Because we are all inclusive property, we advise against tipping individually on a daily basis so that you do not have to worry about carrying cash/credit cards with you. Additionally, you’ll notice that after each meal, you will be presented with a chit which requires your signature for inventory purposes. The chit also has a line for tips, but once again, tipping is not mandatory and is based on your discretion as explained above. Instead, we strongly suggest that you finalize your tips at the front desk upon checkout where you are able to write your specific instructions regarding your tip amount and how you would like it to be distributed along with your signature. Utilizing the front desk as the contact point is essential to ensuring that tips will be sent to our accounting department, which manages proper and transparent distribution through the staff's bank accounts.

Package rates at Coco Plum Island and Manta Island do not include gratuities. We have developed a suggested gratuity guide in response to guest feedback. The actual amount is left totally to your discretion and dependent upon the quality of service. For Coco Plum, we suggest between USD$450-$550 per couple for a six to seven night stay for the entire staff. And for Manta Island between USD$550-$650 per couple for a seven night stay for the entire staff. Because we are all inclusive property, we advise against tipping individually on a daily basis so that you do not have to worry about carrying cash/credit cards with you while you are enjoying your vacation. Instead, we ask that if you choose to leave a gratuity, you leave a general tip amount on your signed invoice and pay for it with cash or credit card at checkout. Because it is a team effort, these gratuities are pooled every two weeks and distributed by the accounting department. If you do feel the need to leave individual tips, we strongly suggest that you finalize your tips at the front desk upon checkout where you are able to write your specific instructions regarding your tip amount and how you would like it to be distributed along with your signature.
