The Edge - An Artisan Fair

The Edge is a marketplace created for LGBTQ+ artists, makers, entrepreneurs and their allies. It is designed to provide an inviting and modern environment to showcase and highlight your brand and your products. The Edge will have studio space available for those looking for a new or expanded location as well as event space where you can offer classes or shows.

By joining the creative community of The Edge, you will have:

visibility of your products in a unique retail environment.
the ability to turn your hard work and passion into income.
experience running a retail shop with minimum commitment.
engagement with customers to share your inspiration and craft.
your brand amplified with the social media strategies of The Edge and Studio West 117.

The Edge offers:

event space that is free for participating vendors
studio space for rent
a mobile app to communicate with other makers who are members of The Edge community - a quick and easy way for you to answer questions about your products when you are not present.
branded signs to highlight your "store within a store"
point of sale, gift bags and tissue.
sales reporting
payment of vendor's applicable sales tax

Your Display Options at The Edge

We've worked to design The Edge to provide different display options for your product to best showcase and optimize sales opportunities. There are many to choose from.

Large Wall units 4' wide and 7' tall
Medium Wall units 2' wide 7' tall
A limited number spaces for ½ of a 4' wall or ½ of a 2' wall
Large open wall that can be adapted for hanging art of any size, clothing, or smaller shelf space.
Glass display case
Trio of nesting tables
Floor space for large scale pieces

A vendor in The Edge will:

commit to rent their space for minimum of 3 consecutive months.
provide social media content to The Edge 2 days per month featuring the artist (entreprenuer) and product.
actively particpate - We believe in the importance of connecting your craft and your business through your personal engagement. Our business model encourages "host days" where vendors host and operate the shop at least once a month during the timeframe they are selling their product in The Edge.
be willing to host events in our space such as gallery showings, product demonstrations, or small group classes.
be an advocate for other vendors in our community.

Space rental and Cost:

The Edge has worked to structure the cost of participation to be affordable and competitive as well as supportive of both the vendor and the business model of an artisan collective.

Full 4' wall $70/month
Half 4' wall $40/month
One shelf 4' wall $20/ month
Full 2' wall $50/month
Half 2' wall $30/month
One shelf 2' wall $15/month
Trio of cube tables - $50 /month
Glass Case - $50 /month
Floor space $50 /month
Studio space - Determined by size needed

Fees:

20% of product sales (if vendor hosts the shop once day a month during participation)
30% of sales (if vendor is unable to host)
