Program Description:
When the stakes are high, litigants have long relied upon mediation as a more cost-effective tool to resolve complex disputes. That strategy is now trending in bankruptcy cases where parties seek to resolve disputes and bring parties together not just in adversary proceedings and discrete contested matters, but also in the main bankruptcy case to address critical confirmation and other issues.
Join our panel of experienced jurists and practitioners to discuss the risks and benefits inherent in any mediation strategy as well as issues like mediation privilege that may have unique implications in the bankruptcy setting. Moderated by Jeff Ganz, a partner at Riemer & Braunstein LLP.
Panelists:
The Honorable Kevin Carey (ret.), Hogan Lovells US LLP
The Honorable Kevin Gross (ret.), Richards, Layton & Finger PA
Curtis Miller, Esq., Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP
