BIMM INSTITUTE
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PLEASE READ
BIMM Institute is committed to promoting equal opportunities for all applicants and all students. We actively seek to recruit a diverse student body that is reflective of the wider community. We believe that a diverse student body provides a creative and dynamic community, and this is in line with the ethos and mission of BIMM Institute.
We aim to actively support access to our courses from groups of applicants who are underrepresented in higher education or face financial challenges and hardship. We want a level playing field and equality of opportunity and so we have set up the Fair Access Fund to ensure students are supported during their studies.
To enable us to further your application to the Fair Access Fund we need to ask you a few questions. We are accepting ONE application per student. All applications must be completed in full to be considered and you will need to provide supporting evidence to back up your application. You can return to your draft application and complete it later, please be aware the deadline for applications is Friday 14th October 2022 at 5pm.
Please ensure you provide the correct evidence to support your application:
Care experienced, and care leaver students should submit evidence of their care experience with a letter from their local authority which should detail the dates of the care experience, the local authority details, the person handling the case and their contact information.
Estranged students should use a copy of their maintenance loan application proving estrangement.
Disabled students should upload a copy of their diagnosis or their Disabled Students Allowance documentation.
Please note: If applications are returned incomplete and without supporting documents, they will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the student to provide all evidence in support of their application.
If you need advice, guidance or support completing this form please contact your local Access and Participation Co-ordinator.
We look forward to receiving your completed form and furthering your application. Approvals will be made prior to the start of term and amounts, and schedule of payments will be made accessible as soon as possible in semester one.
Many thanks
