  • Qualifying Examination

    You must pass a comprehensive qualifying examination after completion of all graduate core courses. The qualifying examination must be taken one (1) year after the completion of all core courses in the Program of Study.

  • Candidacy Examination

    PhD student can only take the Candidacy Examination after, 1. passing the qualifying examination, 2. completing all graduate course work in the Program of Study, 3. obtaining a GWA of 1.75 or better in his/her coursework, and 4. completing the courses stipulated by the residence (MRR) rules.
