Visual Arts (Local) (July 11th- 21st; 9am-12pm; Mon-Thur)500TTD

For participants ages 8-16+ based in Trinidad, W.I. This fee includes materials needed for camp. Pick-up will be arranged prior to the start of camp. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of visual arts and learn techniques for producing their creative ideas visually. They will be exposed to various types of artistic expression using different mediums; eg. sketching/drawing, colour theory, basic animation (storyboarding), painting, etc.

IN-PERSON Steel Orchestra (July 25th - August 4th; 9am-12pm; Mon-Thur)500TTD

An exciting and intense short course on the National Instrument of Trinidad and Tobago for participants ages 10-16+ years of all abilities. Participants will engage the participants in the rudiments of the range of instruments in the steel ensemble. Campers will also learn an ensemble piece on the instrument of their choice. NOTE: THIS CAMP WILL BE HELD FACE TO FACE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN, MARACAS ST. JOSEPH.

Summer Ensemble (August 2nd- August 11th; 9am-12pm; Tue-Thur)500TTD

For participants ages 10-16+. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the rudiments on an instrument of their choice. Activities will be geared toward building skills in rhythm, tempo, dynamics, intonation, articulation, balance and music notation that will be taught, empowering participants to better analyze and assess their playing in the context of a virtual ensemble. A virtual ensemble performance will be prepared for the recital.

Audio and Video Production (August 2nd-11th; 9am-12pm; Tue-Thur)600TTD

For participants ages 10-16+ who have access to a working computer and reliable internet connection. Participants will engage in selected music technology and video production tools with the aim of functional understanding of their components in producing music for different purposes. They will also apply various skills and techniques to produce their musical and visual ideas.
