• Volunteer Application - CBA Kids' Camp

    The 2025 Coulee Baptist Association Kids' Camp (for ages 9-13) will be held August 4-7 at Ingalls Creek Center.

    Counselors
    1. Ideally, each counselor will be paired with another volunteer have shared responsibility for up to 7-12 campers.
    2. Counselors will supervise, befriend, and disciple each of their campers.
    3. Counselors need to be enthusiastically involved in all camp activities to encourage camper participation.
    4. Counselors will directly lead cabin Bible studies and discussions, cabin clean-up, and either lead or help lead various recreational activites.
    5. Counselors need be available 24 hours a day to listen and appropriately respond to campers' problems, questions, and needs.

    Counselors must be able to work well with other volunteers and have the ability to exercise leadership, discipline, discussion leading, and discipleship skills.

    Cooks
    • Cooks at camp will be responsible for preparing and serving each meal and snack, along with cleaning up the kitchen and dining area.
    • Depending on desire and ability, the cook may also help with meal planning and shopping.
    • There will be a camp host on site to answer questions about the kitchen and appliances.
    • When not fulfilling their primary duties, cooks will be free to spend time with the campers or take breaks as needed.

    Cooks must be able to work well with other volunteers, be physically able to stand for a large portion of the day, and have basic kitchen skills. A cook may serve part-time and/or commute to the camp.

    Other

    There are other opportunities to serve at camp that may be performed by someone who is primarily a counselor or cook, or they may be done separately. These tasks include leading music, planning/leading activities (field games, crafts, etc.), and camp nurse.

  • All volunteers must be approved by their pastor or other church representative.

    When this form is submitted, we will email a form to the pastor or other person listed below for their feedback and approval.

  • No medication will be allowed in the camper's rooms. Counselors may store medications in their vehicle or with the camp director.

  • The cost and payment options for a volunteer are the same as the for a camper.

    You may choose your payment tier:
    Tier 1: $190 - the real cost of participation in the camp.
    Tier 2: $160 - covers rental facility and meals.
    Tier 3: $130 - an automatic scholarship from the association.

    If you need additional help paying for camp, contact your church. If there is still a need, contact the camp director for a scholarship application.

    The rate for camping is the same as for staying in the lodge.

  • Submit your payment to your church, making a note that it's for the CBA kids' camp.

  • Submitting this application:

    • grants permission for Coulee Baptist Association to run a background check

    • acknowledges that there are health risks associated with a camping program (injury, possibility of exposure to illness, etc.)

    • indicates agreement to not hold Coulee Baptist Association liable in the event of injury, illness, or property damage

    • grants Coulee Baptist Association permission to use comments, images, and/or recording of you from the week of camp in its online or print publications. You may opt out of this media release at check-in.
