• She The People Endorsement Questionnaire

  • She the People works to empower women of color voters and support women of color candidates and campaigns that promote justice, engage and inspire a multi-racial coalition of voters. They are federal and statewide candidates that work in movements  to build power and influence based on our principles of belonging and advancing democracy. These candidates  are committed to and are already working to advance racial, gender and economic justice for  our country–and our communities. We need their full participation in political and civic life and we are looking to support their candidacy!

She the People is accepting applications for the 2022 cycle only. We ask that you submit your application a minimum of 60 days before your next election (primary, general, or runoff). We are not supporting state legislature and local races at this time.

This application should take 30-45 minutes to complete.

  • Candidate Information

  • If She the People endorses we will be promoting you and your campaign across our multi-channel platforms. We are hoping to build community amongst our endorsed candidates. Therefore, we ask the below questions not only to get to know you better but to have a better sense of how you navigate and present to the world and how that informs your politics and campaign. This also helps us determine your eligibility for certain endorsements/organizations that specialize in focusing on specific communities where we can help make connections. Please look over the list. You may check or leave blank the boxes as you see fit or feel comfortable - you are under no obligation to “come out” about an identity or experience. We recognize that no one's humanity is reducible to their various identities of course. We have also provided an open text box for any other identity you feel is important in your life.

  • Issue and Policy Positions

  • She the People is committed to endorsing candidates who will advocate for issues advancing racial, gender, and economic justice as well as protect democracy at every level of government. We are committed to this in part because the majority of women of color voters are also looking to support candidates committed to these principles. Please articulate your views on all the issues below whether they are federal or state in nature. She the People wants to understand your approach to these policies–many of which are interrelated. And it is why we are asking  in your role as an elected official will you oppose, support and/or *advocate for the following policies:

*Advocate: Means that not only do you support but have advocated on the issue and will advocate on this issue while in public office.
