Explore the possibilities of enhancing your farm with conservation practices to potentially reduce management costs. We will tour several locations where farm managers have applied best management practices to increase crop production and health without breaking the bank. This field day will begin at Diamondback Acres in Chelan, WA, a Salmon Safe certified orchard since 2019. Then, we will travel to the Hard Row to Hoe vineyard and tasting room in Manson, WA, the first Salmon Safe and LIVE certified sustainable wine entity in Chelan County. The tour will cover Salmon Safe certification standards, agency programs available to implement practices, polinator integration, and fire resilient practices for farms. Q&A will occur throughout the tour. Guest speakers include staff members from Cascadia CD, Foster Creek CD, Salmon Safe, the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), and WSU.
