❖ You are aged 18 or over and can provide a physical government issue photographic I.D on the day of your appointment to evidence this. Unfortunately, I will not be able to tattoo you without it. Photos of an ID will not be accepted.
❖ If you have any medical conditions and are taking any prescribed medication this must be declared at the time of booking to allow us to make any necessary preparations, precautions or decisions on whether it is safe for you to be tattooed.
❖ That you are not; pregnant, breast feeding or have given birth in the last six months.
❖ That you will shower before your appointment and refrain from applying any creams, lotions, ointments, false tan to the area that is to be tattooed. This includes any numbing cream or receptor blockers. Persons who apply numbing cream prior to their appointment will not be tattooed.
❖ Rest and eat well in the run up to your appointment as this will aid in the tattoo process and during your heal. You MUST consume a meal within an hour of attending your appointment.
❖ Wear appropriate clothing to allow your artist access to the area to be tattooed, whilst protecting your modesty. There is a potential that ink or blood may soil your clothing.
❖ All appointments require a deposit which is non-refundable or transferable to any other persons. The deposit amount is calculated based on the duration of the appointment. If you decide to cancel your appointment or provide less than 7 days notice to request a rearrangement, you shall forfeit your deposit. If you need to rearrange your appointment and provide more than 7 days notice, I the artist shall carry your deposit over to a rearrangement made at this time. I do not hold deposits therefore if an appointment is not rearranged it shall be treated as a cancellation. You may rearrange this appointment once. Multiple rearrangements may lead to the forfeiture of your deposit.
If a touch up session is booked in, these terms and conditions also apply to that appointment. Late rearrangement or failure to attend a touch up session will invalidate the touch up policy and any further appointment will be subject to a new quotation.
In the case of multiple late cancellations this may result in a upfront cost to be paid before rebooking.
❖ There is no card machine within the premises, therefore all payments must be made in person in cash or bank transfer.
❖ You must not drink alcohol or take recreational drugs 24 hours prior to your appointment.
❖ Do not partake in any heavy cardiovascular activities immediately prior to your appointment as this will widen your capillaries, increasing blood flow therefore, you will bleed more, making your tattoo much more difficult.
❖ Avoid sun exposure in the run up to your appointment, this includes sunbeds. If you are tan or sun burnt, we will not be able to tattoo you.
❖ Arrive on time for your appointment. If you run late, you may not be able to proceed with your tattoo. You may be charged for the time committed to your appointment which has been lost or asked to pay another deposit in order to secure a new appointment.
❖ Designs are discussed and agreed upon booking. All designs will be shown on the day, so please be sure to include all requirements on booking. I do work as a custom artist and ask for a reasonable level of artistic freedom within all my designs, however I do appreciate that people may have specific requests, please ensure all major details or changes are submitted no later than 72 hours prior to your appointment. Small amendments can be discussed on the day if needed, however lengthy changes may consume chargeable appointment time or lead to rearrangement/loss in deposit.
If you attend your appointment in breach of the above terms and conditions, you shall forfeit your deposit, and another will be required to make an alternative appointment.
Drawing can take a considerable amount of time from planning to execution therefore I will only draw designs for persons with an appointment. I will not directly replicate another tattoo artists design or drawing. I work as a custom tattoo artist and offering bespoke tattooing within my own style. Therefore, I request a respectable level of artistic freedom with your design within the design brief.
I request that you come alone to your appointment. A friend or family may come in initially to drop you off for reassurance, however they will be asked to leave once we start the appointment as the studio is quite small and the space does not allow for heavy foot traffic. Please do not be nervous, you are in good hands, I offer a welcoming and encouraging environment for everyone.
Only persons over the age of 18 are allowed within the tattooing area. If you have young children, please make alternative arrangements for their care during your tattoo as they will not be able to attend with you and we do not allow children to remain unsupervised in the waiting area.
By paying a deposit and securing a space in the diary, you confirm that you have read and will adhere to the above conditions. Any breach of the above conditions may lead to you having your appointment cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as accident, illness, car trouble etc, where I am unable to conduct your appointment, you will be notified at the earliest opportunity and offered a mutually convenient date to reschedule your appointment.
Please note, myself and Valentines offer a friendly and inclusive environment for the clients and artists. Excessive bad language or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Non-compliance with the above may lead to you being asked to leave the premises immediately
