I the undersigned parent or legal guardian, hereby consent to my child participating in Strong in the Lord Lancaster Baptist / Victory Baptist Teen Camp 2025 , an event sponsored by Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., June 16-20, 2025.

I (We) certify that my child is able to participate in these activities, which may including the following: I (We) acknowledge that my child’s participation in the Victory Baptist Church youth program is voluntary and may require involvement in activities that require traveling or physical exertion. Such activities may include, but are not limited to: outings, athletic games, theme parks, water parks, local excursions, and meetings. I (We) acknowledge that my child’s participation in any Victory youth activity presents risks that my child may suffer property damage, bodily injury, or death. If my child has medical conditions which may be relevant to a physician in the event of an emergency, I have listed them on page one of this consent and release form. In the event an emergency occurs, I may be reached at the telephone number listed on page two of this consent and release form. If I cannot be reached, I hereby authorize the church official, an adult sponsor of Victory Baptist Church Lakeside Inc., to make emergency medical decisions for my child. If there are any activities I do not want my child to be involved in, I have listed them on page two of this consent and release form.

I UNDERSTAND AND HEREBY AGREE TO ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS WHICH MAY BE ENCOUNTERED ON SAID ACTIVITY, INCLUDING ACTIVITIES PRELIMINARY AND SUBSEQUENT THERETO. I do hereby agree to hold Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., and it’s Senior Pastor and Associate Pastors, deacons, employees, volunteers, representatives, subcontractors, and agents, harmless from any and all liability, actions, causes of actions, claims, expenses, and damages on account of injury to my child or property which I now have or which may arise in the future in connection with the activity or participation in any other associated activities.

I expressly agree that this release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be broad and inclusive as permitted by the law of the State of California and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. This release contains the entire agreement between the parties hereto and the terms of this release are contractual and not a mere recital.

Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., is hereby authorized to take or permit pictures to be taken and video recordings to be made of my child, a minor, for use by Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., in publications, newspapers, newsletters, its website, and/or on television for purposes of public relations for Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc. I hereby also authorize Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc. to record my child’s voice for the purpose of broadcast on any of Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc.’s broadcast outlets including, but not limited to: television, radio, cassette tapes, compact discs, computer file transfer, or website. Victory Baptist Church Lakeside, Inc., shall also have the right to use any portion of any statement made by my child in any publication, newspaper, newsletter, or website.

This agreement contains all the understandings, oral and written, of the parties and supersedes all previous agreements. If any portion of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it shall not affect the balance of this Agreement. This agreement will be governed by the law of the State of California.

These are the expectations for all members of the youth group

    Respect
I agree to cooperate and respect all adults and adult leaders.
I agree to respect other teens by lifting each other up rather than tearing them down. Avoid teasing, talking at the same time as your peers.
I agree to respect the property of others, the church building, and the areas and property we visit while away.

    Participation
I agree to participate in all activities with the entire group when deciding to be a part of a particular event, trip, or class. Exceptions for this are made in case of illness, injury, and other special circumstances.
I agree to treat the church property with respect: no damaging, clean-up after yourself, etc.
I agree to Support the leaders and your peers with full participation: looking at who is speaking, asking questions, contributing answers, etc.
I agree to remain with the youth group unless I let a leader know and am given permission to leave the area.

    Rules
Rules and guidelines are not put into place just to hold people down and use authority over them, but to help maintain the group and shine as Christian examples out of love for God. The following are rules & guidelines that we will work from in everything we do in order to minimize conflicts among the group and maximize spiritual growth. Most of these are common sense Christian guidelines.

Jesus Christ is to be lifted up in all actions and attitudes of those participating in events and activities. No disruptive behavior will be allowed. That includes, but is not limited to fighting, cussing, vandalism, pranks, disrespect of authority, etc. Speech that is inappropriate, crude, sexual in nature, insulting, downgrading, etc. will not be tolerated.

I agree to follow any additional rules or directions discussed by youth leaders of VBC or LBC.

MY CELL PHONE: To encourage the growth of relationships and interaction among those in the youth group, I agree to be willing to give up all electronic devices when asked to do so. I understand this will happen frequently throughout the trip. Devices will be placed in our patented “Cell Phone Jail” and will be allowed out for yard time frequently throughout the trip (to take pictures, etc) to call home and during activities. This includes phones, iPods and other mp3 players, e-readers, tablets, laptops, etc. I will willingly and without hesitation hand over whatever devices VBC leaders request.
Additionally, I agree to not listen to any music on my personal devices. I agree to not watch any video content on my personal device. I agree not to browse the internet for any inappropriate content. I understand that if I do so, my device will be placed in cell phone prison and released only to my parents.
I agree to keep my clothing modest at all times and adhere to all dress code rules. Please see the “What to bring” sheet for specific guidelines
We understand that each family determines what is modest for their teen(s). However, while on youth group events, there are guidelines that must be followed or you will be asked to change clothes or leave. If in doubt on any of the above, “Remember who you are and WHOSE you are!”

There will be a zero tolerance policy for the following rules. If a rule is broken once, your parents will be contacted and could result in you being sent home at the discretion of Victory Baptist's leadership at the parent's expense.

Drugs, alcohol, tobacco products, illegal substances, fireworks, pornographic materials and weapons are NOT tolerated or allowed. If a leader is informed that another youth member has one of these items, we will ask you to show us what is in your bag or we will need to call your guardian to check your belongings for you.
No touching anyone of the opposite sex, no PDA, no kissing or other sexual behavior.
Violence is NOT tolerated: this includes chasing someone (outside of a game organized by the youth leaders), hitting, kicking, punching, biting, pinching, or attempting to do any of these actions

I understand that my youth leaders want to provide an environment that is fun, enjoyable, a time for growing and learning, and a safe place for all. I understand that for the duration of this trip, I am expected to follow the guidelines of this contract if I wish to attend the VBC Summer Road Trip and Lancaster Baptist Church Teen Camp. If I do not follow through with this contract, I will be sent home at my parents' expense. If I have questions or concerns, I will talk to one of my youth leaders.

  • By signing below, I acknowledge that I have reviewed these rules with my student(s) and my student(s) acknowledges that they have read the rules and expectations and agree to follow the expected behavior of all students attending Victory events, which includes, but is not limited to: no alcohol, illegal drugs, or cigarettes; no guns or weapons of any kind; dress code requests, respect of adults and leaders; and participation and cooperation in all events. Failure to comply could result in being sent home at the discretion of Victory Baptist's leadership at the parent's expense.
