• 2022 Grand Fiesta Parade Application

PRESENTED BY SUN FARM ENERGY Completed parade application must be submitted to the Fiesta office no later than Thursday, May 26, 2022
  • Fiesta Pensacola is pleased to invite you to participate in our 2022 Grand Fiesta Parade, presented by Sun Farm Energy! The parade is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3.  Fiesta encourages everyone (21 years of age and older) to join us at Seville Quarter after the parade to continue the celebration.

Please be prompt for parade lineup as it begins at 5:00 p.m. and must be completed by 6:30 p.m. Entries who arrive late will be placed in the most convenient position for parade officials. Fiesta will have captains at each block of Spring Street to assist with the parade. They will be checking for the correct number of spotters and pulling ill-equipped floats from the lineup. Remember that parade entries will not be refunded for any reason.

Completed parade applications must be submitted to the Fiesta office no later than Thursday, May 26. Your completed application MUST INCLUDE:

    1. Your Application form with signed liability disclaimer

    2. Copy of the driver's license for each driver

    3. Entry fee

    4. Copy of your krewe’s certificate of insurance (with Fiesta of Five Flags Association, Inc. named as additional insured)

    5. Proof of vehicle insurance.

We strongly encourage you to keep a copy of all submitted materials for your records. Applicants will be notified by email regarding their acceptance by Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

  • Please note the following:

    - The parade will be limited to 50 entries on a first come, first serve basis.

    - PRICING: The parade entry fee is $300 for your first float and $150 for one additional entry per application.

Non-Float Entry: $150 for one car entry per application.

    - Each parade entry is required to provide spotters for their floats/vehicles – two spotters per axle (includes pulling vehicle).  For example, if your float has 1 axle and is being pulled by a truck (2 axles), you need 6 spotters.  Spotters are individuals who are NOT PARADING, but walking next to the float to ensure the safety of parading krewe members and spectators. This will be strictly enforced and floats will not be permitted to parade without the appropriate number of spotters. All spotters must be at least 18 years  of age, wear a safety vest (or Fiesta approved t-shirt) and remain sober for the entirety of the parade.

    - Each entry is REQUIRED to provide: 1.) proof of insurance for ALL vehicles 2.) A copy of driver’s license for each driver and 3.) A certificate of insurance for your krewe naming Fiesta of Five Flags Association, Inc. as additional insured.

    - The Fiesta of Five Flags Association, Inc. does NOT provide liability insurance for the protection of persons, organizations, spectators or others who participate in the Grand Fiesta Parade.  It is required that your organization carry insurance for its own protection.

    - Use of golf carts for anyone other than members of the Fiesta of Five Flags Association, Inc. staff and designated Parade Committee Volunteers is strictly prohibited. Golf carts are not permitted within the lineup area nor parade route without permission from the Fiesta of Five Flags Association, Inc. Event Coordinator.

    - There is no charge for high school marching bands to participate and they are strongly encouraged to apply

  • IMPORTANT NOTES FROM THE PENSACOLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

    1. You MAY NOT begin to throw until your float has completely crossed the threshold onto Garden Street from Spring Street. You MAY NOT throw AT ALL on Spring Street. Once the rear of your float crosses onto Garden Street, then you may begin to throw. Do not throw on Spring Street, even if there are patrons present. This is 100% based on the safety of the parade attendees and participants.

    2. You MAY NOT continue to throw once your float exits the parade route and turns onto Main Street. DO NOT throw anything on Main Street.

    3. All walkers are to either (a) get on the float at the end of the parade route, prior to turning onto Main Street, or (b) exit the parade route at Zaragoza Street, prior to the float turning on to Main Street. NO WALKERS ON MAIN STREET ONCE THE FLOAT TURNS.

    4. If your float needs to turn LEFT on Main Street at the end of the parde route to get back to storage, please email Claudia (claudia@fiestapensacola.org) to let us know. We will be providing the PPD with a list of which floats will need to make a left. You can ONLY turn left if your float is stored that way. You cannot turn left just to make dropoffs. WE KINDLY ASK THAT ALL FLOATS TURN RIGHT, but if turning left is completely necessary please let us know.
