  • Application for Consideration to CUYHA Board of Directors (BoD)

    Term: July, 2023 - June, 2025

    The BoD is a dedicated group of members who work towards the established goals of CUYHA. These individuals consider the mission of the organization and the impact to all members, current and future, when making decisions.

    Members of the BoD are expected to uphold the image of the organization in all circumstances and at all times. Members will agree to the Code of Ethics prior to taking office, agree to work diligently throughout his/her term to complete the assigned duties, and particpate in all aspects of the organization as available.

  • Available positions and duties are listed below.

    President (Interim)  (Exec. Committee) 

    • Overall management of the BoD.
    • Forward (Strategic) Planning for the Association. 
    • Manages compliance to governing bodies, bylaws, and policies. 
    • Spokesperson for organization. 
    • Presides over the BoD meetings. 
    • Works with BoD to ensure accountability. 
    • Attends AHAI and NIHL President’s meetings and shares info with organization. 
    • Initiates and manages sponsorships. 
    • Assists committees as needed. 
    • Other duties as required.
  • Vice President  (Exec. Committee) 

    • Assists President with organization compliance. 
    • Presides over the BoD meetings in absence of President. 
    • Assists President in BoD responsibilities. 
    • Reviews contracts and documents relative to the well-being of the Association and makes recommendations. 
    • Forward (Strategic) Planning for the Association. 
    • Other duties as required. 
  • Tresurer  (Exec. Committee) 

    • Oversees the financial aspect of the organization.
    • Works with the AccountingFirm/Bookkeeper to provide up-to-date financial reports.
    • Creates annual budget for BoD approval.
    • Collects/Monitors membership payments.
    • Collaborates with Registrar for status of skaters/payments.
    • Manages the payment of expenses.
    • Files tax returns and annual report
    • Checks the CUYHA Post Office Box regularly.
  • Registrar

    • Serves as the primary liaison to AHAI Registrar and ensures association’s compliance with rules and guidelines for youth hockey.
    • Builds and maintains master documentation of rosters, deadlines, etc. 
    • Completes compliance forms required for travel and house teams. 
    • Claim individual skaters and coaches for the association. 
    • Orchestrates registration at the beginning of the season for travel teams. 
    • Communicates with Team Reps to ensure Team compliances. 
    • Arranges for purchase of USA Hockey insurance. 
    • Maintains database of skaters including age, address, etc. 
    • Uses Cybersport software to interface with AHAI.
    • Completes specific Registrar tasks within deadlines established in the Master Calendar.
    • Applies and pays for participation in the State Tournament (HS). 
    • Obtains score sheets from teams and maintains for end of season awards. 
    • Orders award patches and distributes them to coaches for presentation at end of season banquet. 
    • Backs up and maintains web files. 
  • Public Relations Officer

    • Leverages website and social media to get association information to the public and for general promotion of CUYHA. 
    • Coordinates communications with media outlets. 
    • Publishes a periodic member newsletter. 
    • Assists in promoting House League and LTP in schools.
    • Manages Club Platform (CrossBar), website (www.cuyha.org), and DNS Registration (GoDaddy).
  • Apparel Officer 

    • Assists with travel team registration.
    • Researches and recommends vendors for apparel. 
    • Manages and coordinates all jersey orders.
    • Inventories other apparel for purchase by members.
    • Supplies apparel ordering information to PR for publishing on the website and for distributing to members. 
  • Should be Empty:
