Postpartum Doulas are not health care professionals and do not diagnose medical conditions in the mother or baby, administer or prescribe medication, or any other procedure that qualifies as practicing medicine, but will refer you to a health care provider when appropriate.

Any information I provide should in no way be construed as medical advice and is not a substitute for medical advice, which only a licensed medical practitioner can provide.

As a Postpartum Doula I do not do heavy housecleaning such as; scrubbing the bathtub, mopping floors, rearranging furniture or yard work. When asked to run errands I do not advance any money but ask for cash or gift card to make purchases on your behalf. Receipts will be provided for all purchases.

As the client you will communicate your needs and preferences with the Postpartum Doula verbally and/or in a written form.

As the client you will inform the Postpartum Doula if you or in anyone in your family are the carriers of any infectious diseases.

In the event that you require the Postpartum Doula's presence in any legal proceedings related to the Client, the Client agrees to pay the Postpartum Doula's fees and all legal costs including attorney's fees and court costs.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, my liability for any and all claims, losses, expenses, injuries, or damages related to the performance of services under this contract of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising whether in tort or in contract or otherwise shall be limited to the amount paid by the pursuant of this contract. I will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, resulting from the provisioner non-provision of services under this contract, even if the possibility of such damages has been specifically advised. In signing this contract, you agree that you understand and agree with all the points herein. You further agree that you have been given the opportunity to raise any questions that you might have concerning my services and that these questions have been answered to your satisfaction.

By signing below, you accept the terms and conditions of this contract, understanding that the discounted Rose Gold package cost for postpartum care is eighteen dollars ($125.00) for 12 hours. 

Additional hours may be contracted as needed and agreed upon by both parties, at the normal rate of $18 per hour. 

By signing I have read and agree to the provisions of this contract.

Liability clause for Covid -19

The undersigned Client has accepted in-person doula services by and Kailyn Browning of Birthsource, LLC The doula acknowledge that in-person services may involve risk of injury or sickness, including sickness from COVID-19 and similar viruses. The client(s) on her/his own behalf and on behalf of her heirs and assigns, agrees to waive and hold Kailyn Browning of Birthsource and their representatives harmless from and against any claims, damages or expenses arising from the in-person services offered by the doula, including but not limited to sickness or death arising from COVID-19 or similar viruses. In return the doula will do the same and not hold them liable if a client or one of their family members gets ill or contracts a virus while working for them.
