• PRBC's LITe Program:

  • Hello young people! We are excited that you are interested in helping at Pine Ridge Bible Camp this summer! Before you fill out the application for the LITe program, we want to tell you a little bit about what LITe is all about.

  • What is it? LITe stands for Leaders in Training. We know that God made each of you with abilities and skills - and ultimately with a purpose. Through this program, we want to help you learn to use these skills, and to grow in leadership, communication, and responsibility. Most importantly we want to help you to grow in your relationship with God who made you and wants to be your guide through this often crazy life.

  • Why LITe? The Bible talks a lot about light. Right from Genesis when God said

    "Let there be light" and there was light! (Genesis 1:3 In the Bible, darkness is often used as a picture of sin and wrong. In John 12:46 Jesus said "I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark."

    God is light, and when we know God as our Savior from our sins, then we live in His light and truth. God wants all of us to show His character and truth to others around us through how we live and what we say. As we become leaders, it is especially important that we know God and that the people we are leading can see His character shining through us. Here is a word picture that Jesus used to describe those who know God:

    "You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father"

    Matthew 5:14-16

  • What will you be doing? This LITe program is no holiday - but believe us when we say that it can be so rewarding if you come with a heart to serve and learn. As a Leader In Training, you are coming to serve at the camp in a very important support role. Your jobs will include kitchen help, maintenance, cleaning, work projects, helping with activities and skills, etc. We will also spend some great times doing activities together, talking about important things in life, and getting to know God better.

    We hope that your experience here will be fun, challenging, and rewarding, and that you will grow in leadership skills and in your relationship with God!

  • PRBC Camp Policies

  • PRBC Modesty Standard

    As ambassadors for Christ, we ask that each staff member honor God and others in the way we dress and present ourselves at camp. We expect all clothing worn at camp to meet these standards. Please keep this in mind while packing so you will have enough appropriate clothing to wear.

    Some examples of what we believe to be inappropriate clothing are listed here (this list is not an exhaustive list):

    Guys: spandex, tight swim trunks, clothing with holes in inappropriate places, pants/shorts that don't stay up.

    Girls: skimpy swimwear, clothing with holes in inappropriate places, spandex or leggings (unless worn under shorts or long tops), strapless tops, low or skimpy tops.

    If you have questions feel free to ask. We will approach you regarding dress if we feel it is necessary.

    By following the above requirements, you will be demonstrating a standard of modesty to other staff and campers which NCEM believes is honoring to the Lord.

    What NOT to bring:

    We ask campers not to bring the following items:

    * Cell phones, iPods, other electronic stuff

    * Lighters, knives, bikinis

    * Tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and illicit drugs;

    As staff, we need to set the example. If you bring electronic items, you should use them ONLY when camp is not in session or during your break times away from campers. Items such as firearms of any kind, bikinis, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and illicit drugs should NEVER be brought to camp.

    Cell Phones/Electronics

    Out of respect for campers and camp leadership, cell phones/electronics are not to be used unless on your break. Please leave your phone/electronics in your room or mail box and pull it out ONLY on your break away from campers. Remember you are here to spend time with the kids, not on your phone.

    "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."

    Philippians 4:8 (NLT)
