We are actively working with our community to build a $1.5 million dollar endowment to create Katie's Comfort House, which will offer private bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen along with kid's activities and so much more. Family members will be able to sleep over, access a patio for fresh air and find solace as they say goodbye to their loved ones. Katie was powerful and this is how we will honor her!

NAME OF PERSON YOU ARE HONORING
The Katie Teets Bradshaw Comfort House came alive because of a spectacular young woman. Katie, the driving spirit of this foundation, lost her fight with metastatic breast cancer at the age of 28 on June 25, 2021. She lived her life helping others, becoming an RN at Winchester Medical Center's ICU as well as an RN at Shenandoah Oncology. Through her diagnosis and grueling battle, she voiced, "This isn't it, I'm destined for something big." Katie's legacy will live on thorugh Katie's Comfort House. Those we hold dearest, along with their family and friends, should be in total and complete comfort, even when the end is imminent. While Katie was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed, comfort and a sense of being home were not prevelant. Our Goal is to provide our loved ones with a peaceful and comforting home-like atmosphere. The Katie's Comfort House will be a place where families can spend their last moments with their loved ones in a private setting with all of the accommodations of a home. We have set up this Non-Profit and plan to partner with investors and donors to build Katie's Comfort House to make saying goodbye a little less painful.
