Adopter's Agreement

1. I agree that the animal being adopted is being adopted for myself, and WILL NOT be sold, adopted, or given to another party without prior consent from Snakes Alive.

2. I agree to care for the animal in a humane manner and be a responsible guardian. This includes supplying adequate food, water, heat, shelter, attention, and medical care.

3. I agree that if at any point I cannot keep the animal, I will RETURN IT to Snakes Alive Rescue *Please note that adoption fees are non-refundable.

4. I understand and agree that I will take full responsibility for any damages or injuries caused by the animal(s) and will not hold Snakes Alive Rescue liable.

5. I understand that I MUST provide the proper enclosure, light, heat, etc for the species I am adopting. I may be asked for proof of enclosure depending on species.

6. I understand that the Rescue may do a follow up call or visit to check on the animal(s) and monitor the progress of the adopted animal(s). I further give permission for that visit/contact.

7. I agree that all the statements I have made on this form are true. If it is later found that any statements i have made on this form are not true, the animal may be legally confiscated by Snakes Alive Rescue.
CONDITIONS OF ADOPTION- Please Read (AKA The fine print)

I, hereafter refered to a the 'adopter'; hereby agree that this animal is being adopted by me from Snakes Alive Rescue solely as a pet for myself and/or my immediate family and/or for non-harmful educational purposes. I agree that I WILL NOT sell, give away or otherwise dispose of said animal to ANY person(s), dealer, retailer, auction, institute or any other entity for any reason, now iwll I release it into the environment. If at a later date I am unable or unwilling to keep this pet, I agree to first contact Snakes Alive Rescue and give them the option to reclaim said pet at no charge.

I hereby agree that this animal WILL NOT be used for bredding purposes or in any type of breeding "program" or group. If it is later discovered that the animal was used for breeding, it will be considered a breach of contract with the Rescue and the animal and it's produced offspring will be forfeited back to the Rescue with the animal at no charge.

I hereby agree to care for the above-described pet in a humane and responsible manner and to provide it with clean and adequate shelter, heat, light, food, water, and veterinary care (when needed) appropriate to its species. I also agree to handle this animal in a responsible and humane manner apprpriate to its species. I agree to allow the Rescue to contact me for wellness checks.

The animal is adopted "as-is" and I agree that I asume all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing connditions or any other physical, medical, or temperament changes that may occur in the future. I understand that the Rescue cannot guarantee the health of any animal and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may arise. I further agree that said pet shall reside in appropriate caging sufficient to protect the animal from other animals in my ohme and to protect other people or animals from this animal. I agree that this animal will not be used for rituals, fighting, medical, or experimental purposes.

I understand and agree that the Rescue makes no representations or warranties, espressed or implied, about the above mentioned animal's temperamant and is hereby absolved from any liabilty for futire damages or injuries caused by said animal. I also understand and agree that the adopter further gives no guarantees, expressed pr implied, of the suitability of the animal to the adoptee and/or his/her family.
