Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Sandhills Bullmastiffs but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this litter or any future litters. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.
APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: I will review applications within 1-2 business days of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. When/If your application is approved, you can send your $500 deposit. Puppies will be picked in the order in which deposits are received. You will only get to choose a brindle or red puppy if that is designated as your first preference. We do not begin choosing usually until they are 7- 8 weeks old and can be stacked on a table. Puppies have been microchipped by then and there is no mixing them up. We ask that you make a choice within 24 hours of notification since there may be other families waiting for a chance to choose. Should you elect to not take a puppy from the litter, the deposit is trasferrable to another upcoming litter.
GOING HOME: We can not hold puppies for extended times - it is critical for their social developement that the litter departs within a reasonable timeframe. If you have a big vacation planned or have events that would conflict with a young puppy, please know that puppies cannont be boarded in a kennel until they have received their full immunizations which cannot be done until 4 months of age.
CONTRACT: We have a contract and will not place a puppy without a signed contract. Please email for one erin.mitchell.2011@icloud.com We believe it's the professional thing to do. If you have questions about specific terms, you need to contact us prior to picking up your puppy.
SPAY/NEUTER: We require spay/neuter at or before 12 months of age. Sadly many well-intentioned people don't remeber to spay before the first heat cycle (usually around 11 months for a bullmastiff) and suddenly their barely adolescent dog is pregnant by studs of unkown heritage. Spay surgery, while pregnant, is very risky.
REGISTRATION PAPERS: Our excellent family companions come with registration papers to the American Kennel Club
