JOB DETAILS:
Job Type: Full Time, Salaried Exempt
Work Hours: Primarily Monday-Friday (8am-4pm) can vary depending on event needs
Reports To: Owner
Pay: Based on Experience
Eligible For: 401K, Pension Plan, PTO
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- College Degree in Business, Marketing, or Event Management (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity Utilizing Marketing Tools and Platforms
- Experience in Staff Oversight and/or Development
- Customer Service 1-Year (Preferred)
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a high level of integrity, character, and self-motivation. A background check will be required.
- Make informed high-level management decisions.
- Implement, manage, direct, and oversee all client interactions, client events, vendors, and venue staff.
- Bring vision and necessary business acumen to the position for continued measurable brand growth via marketing, client relations, event management, and expansion of venue services offered.
- Be detail-oriented, personable, and articulate, with command of the English language both verbally and in written form.
- Possess the ability to lead and develop others.
- Prepare event package content and pricing options with the ability to negotiate such details with potential clients to secure event bookings.
- Provide administrative direction for client planning meetings and client tours off-site at venue facility 2-3 hours a week.
- Supervise all venue staff including venue preparatory & event staff.
- Communicate and enforce all contractual client and vendor obligations including security or damage regulations and protocols.
- Responsible for project planning and execution for community events hosted by Venue.
- Promote the Venue and events through a variety of marketing channels such as social media platforms, client engagement and follow-up, local Chambers of Commerce utilization, and oversight of Venue website blogs and visual content.
- Gather info from Venue staff post events to attend any incidents or queries.
- Manage and oversee all administrative tasks such as insurance, booking schedules, tax worksheets, vendor communications, and client invoicing.
- Understand basic bookkeeping principles and meet with the owner for business accounting and profitability reviews quarterly, at minimum.
- Assist in facility master planning, strategic business planning, and budget planning.
- Monitor and manage operational and event expenses and trends.
- Increase revenues and attendance by driving sales; cultivating sponsorships, and partnerships, and building relationships with vendors, advertisers, and customers.
- Develop facility operations manuals & policies & procedures; implement and provide training for all staff and on-site vendors.
