, Daria DeNoia, OEA presenter. Childhood trauma can have an overwhelming impact on the ability of a child to learn, yet this important issue is often ignored by our education system. If educators can understand the role of trauma, its effect on children and learning, and how educators can change methods of interacting and responding to children impacted by trauma, they can shape school culture, practices, and policies to be sensitive to t
he needs of traumatized learners. During this session we will discuss how a school can become “trauma informed” so that educators can lead the effort to positively change the life-trajectory of vulnerable students.

Learn about completing the online Service Retirement Application, plan of payment options, designation of single or multiple beneficiaries and enrollment in the STRS Ohio Health Care Program. Additionally, we will provide an overview of what to expect during the retirement process and address any questions you may have during the presentation. All participants receive a retirement booklet that highlights the key steps in the retirement process month-by-month.
