Attention Sacramento restaurants, chefs & food trucks! Are you ready to put your hot chicken sandwich to the test? If so, read on!

The Sac Hot Chicken Battle is THE place to throw down and see how your hot chicken stands up to the rest...all while supporting an amazing cause!

Our beneficiary is the local Oak Park 501(c)3 charity, City Of Refuge Sacramento. City of Refuge works with the unhoused, at-risk youth, young adults & has a housing program for victims of human trafficking. We are proud to partner with them to help raise funds for this incredible organization.

Details of the Event:

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the event is from 6-10 pm at Southside Park.

General Admission 7 pm -10 pm

VIP Access at 6 pm

The event will include hot chicken sandwich tastings from 14 local restaurants and food trucks combined, a commemorative tasting glass, a special VIP lounge area, 12 local breweries along with a welcome cocktail for each guest, some yummy desserts to cool down your palate & music by DJ Nocturnal & DJ Lions In Paris.

We're expecting an attendance of 1,800 (450 VIP, 1,350 GA)

We will have two voting categories: The Judge's Vote and The People's Vote.

Each judge and attendee receive a small sample of your hot chicken sandwich (a sandwich cut into quarters).

There is no fee required for restaurants and food trucks to compete in the Sac Hot Chicken Battle.

We have teamed up with a local poultry company, East Bay Poultry Company, which has generously donated the chicken at no charge.

We will provide the chicken (two cases each of boneless chicken thighs), a signage banner, a tent, two six-foot tables, one 40-pound fryer (upon request), one heat lamp, and you provide the donation of the remaining items.

Your application submission does not grant immediate acceptance into the Sac Hot Chicken Battle, and we will contact the officially invited restaurants to join the battle in the coming weeks.

The undersigned vendor at the Sacramento Hot Chicken Battle ("Event") dba Beers In Sac agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Vendor shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Event, and its officers, directors, agents, employees and volunteers, from and against any and all loss, damages, liability, claims, suits, costs and expenses, whatsoever, including reasonable attorneys' fees, regardless of the merit or outcome of any such claim or suit, arising from or in any manner connected to the willful misconduct or negligent acts, errors or omissions by vendor, its agents and/or employees in connection with Vendor's participation in the Evnt, and/or in the performance of services, work or activities under this Agreement and/or the Event rules.
2. Vendor agrees to comply with each and every rule, regulation, procedure, term and condition set forth in the Event's rules. Vendor hereby acknowledges receipt of such Event rules.
