This year's Afield Study titled 'The Construction of Ableism' will take the form of 3 public sessions, and one closed workshop, on separate days in the first two weeks of June. The program will be accessible in English, Spanish, Portuguese and American Sign Language.
The program is open to like-minded professionals and organisations working in and beyond the cultural and artistic fields. The aim is to create awareness about the inherent ableist structures that we live in and perpetuate so that we can improve our practices.
Core Group members are encouraged to attend all three days of talks (30th May, 2nd June, 6th June), and are further invited to the 'workshop' (9th June) to collectively generate practical and implementable take-aways inspired by the ideas evoked in the program.
Please indicate below if you will be joining the Core Group, or otherwise, which days you will be able to attend.
