The Club has established standards for slip modifications including what type of Dock Boxes are permitted. These standards are to ensure that our docks continue to have a uniform and clean look for years to come. Some of you may already be aware of these standards but we will share them with you and give you the opportunity to order a dock box if you so desire.
The policies set fourth are as follows:
· Members may not make any modification to the docks.
· No carpet, handrails or rub rail can be installed.
· Dock boxes are not mandatory, but if you want a dock box it must be purchased from the Club or be an approved style. These dock boxes will be supplied at cost. If you have purchased a dock box from another slip-holder, the Club will only charge a moving fee.
· A member can have two dock boxes at their slip, one triangular and one rectangular.
- It is recommended that dock boxes be removed for the winter season by the slip occupant. EYC will not store used dock boxes.
You can choose from two models, either a triangular or a rectangular-shaped box. The triangular box, measures 39” on two sides and 54” along the back with a height of 29”. The rectangular box measures 72” long x 26.5” deep x 27” high. You can view both types of boxes by looking at the ones installed on the other completed docks in the basin.
The triangle box can either be installed at the corner of your dock on a wing OR in a frame at the front of your slip depending on the location of your slip. The rectangle box will be installed in front of your slip in a frame.
Payments will be made to the member’s account upon installation of the dock box.
EYC places two dock box orders a season. The first order deadline is May 3rd, 2023. The second order deadline is June 14th, 2023. Shipping typically takes 2-3 weeks after the order is placed.
