Hindmarsh Shire takes animal attacks very seriously and it is important that you report the incident to Council as soon as possible. While we prefer to ensure that dog owners are educated and aware of their responsibilities, we do take enforcement action where required. If you would prefer to organise an in person or over-the-phone meeting with a Local Laws Officer - please call 03 5391 4444. Otherwise, you can proceed with the report by answering the following questions.

If you have found a dog, cat or livestock in a public place, our Local Laws team can help. The best way to report an animal at large is to call a Local Laws Officer on 03 5391 4444 or 0428 500 244. If you are unable to do so, you can submit a report below.
Remember that your safety comes first. Do not approach an animal unless you are confident that it is safe to do so - even calm animals may react aggressively to strangers.
You can report an issue with a Council road, street, drain, footpath, nature strip, bridge, tree - or something similar.

Let our Environmental Health Officer know about foodborne illness and unsafe food, dust, noise, smoke and odour issues, mosquitoes and other environmental health concerns.
