The CPWVa is an affiliation of voters representing "principal over politics," expressing their pledge to adhere to and support the activities, platform and goals of the national Constitution Party. Membership in the CPWVa is open to all persons who are legal residents of these United States of America, Citizens of the Republic of West Virginia, and being of suitable character and evidencing an interest in the furtherance of the objectives of this organization. Additionally, the members of the Constitution Party of West Virginia gratefully acknowledge the blessings of Almighty God as Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the Universe and of this Federal Republic. Inasmuch as the views expressed by members and officers of the party may be interpreted by the public as positions of the CPWVa, they are not necessarily so. The positions of the CPWVa are only those contained in the state and national party platforms and those in official press releases and resolutions. Therefore, in order to maintain the integrity of our organization, a condition of membership is an agreement to abide by and be subject to all party bylaws including, but not limited to Article VI—CONDUCT OF MEMBERS AND OFFICERS. Membership in the party is congruent with good conduct. Membership in certain secret societies is, by party resolution, considered of dubious character and may disqualify membership in the CPWVa which holds all of its meetings in public.
